The Sphinx

The Sphinx was named after the Great Sphinx of Giza because it is a look-alike. The Bebele refers to the mushroom-shaped forms. The painted monasteries are located in the Northeastern area of Romania and are truly an incredible sight to behold. These monasteries feature very unique and colorful frescoes, including masterpieces of prophets, Jesus, demons, heaven and angels. The Peles Castle
Peles Castle is hands down one of the most exceptional attractions in Romania. Its sculpted wood, stained glass and ornate stonework give it a charming and intimidating look against panoramic views of the nearby Carpathian Mountains. King Carol I built it as a home, but now it serves as a museum that showcases collections of armor, weaponry and art work. You can go for an incredible guided tour and explore the 160 rooms and terrace gardens.
Danube Delta
Pelicans on the Danube DeltaHands down one of the largest deltas in all of Europe, Danube Delta features 23 ecosystems with plenty of plants and wildlife. It is located in Tulcea county, and is an incredibly beautiful network of waterways originating from the Black Sea. If you love watching birds you will love that this place. It has more than 300 species, so take some binoculars with you and indulge yourself. The place is better during spring so you can avoid mosquitoes and experience the beautiful sunset.
Palace of Culture
When you visit Romania, you should not miss out on the Palace of Culture in Jassy. It features four museums of science and technology, ethnography, history and art. Built between 1906 and 1925, the Palace of Culture replaced the old royal court of Moldavia. It’s a place you should see for yourself.
The Bran Castle

This castle is actually associated with a certain vampire and people think it inspired Bram Stoker when he wrote Dracula.
